The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has voted for the first national strike in the trade union's 106-year history, demanding a pay rise five percent above the Retail Price Index (RPI) rate. Accordingly, nurses are set to join rail, postal, and dockworkers, who have walked out across the UK as pay offers lag behind soaring inflation.
