AN UNNAMED sniper from the Canadian Army has joined the fight against Russia. Nicknamed Wali – which means “protector” in Arabic – the 40-year-old soldier is working to aid Ukraine. Prior to his arrival, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced: “All foreigners wishing to join the resistance against the Russian occupiers and protect international security are invited by the Ukrainian government to come to our territory to join the ranks of our territorial forces.” According to Wali, a friend encouraged him to come to Ukraine to help.
