US Senate Votes Down Repeal of 2001 AUMF Authorizing 'War Everywhere, All the Time'

To mark the 20th anniversary of the US invasion of Iraq, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., introduced an amendment to rescind the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF), signed into law by then-President George W. Bush, to "send a message to the world that we are a nation of peace."
