3 yıl önce
VOLODYMYR ZELENSKY invited China’s Xi Jinping for a visit in Ukraine, claiming that he hasn’t spoken to the leader since Russia’s full-scale invasion in February last year. The Ukrainian President told AP: “We are ready to see him here. I want to speak with him. I had contact with him before full-scale war. But during all this year, more than one year, I didn’t have.” Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that Beijing received no information about Zelensky‘s invitation and that it maintains “communication with all parties concerned, including Ukraine.” Xi Jinping was conducting talks with Russia‘s Vladimir Putin last week where they showed signs of good dialogue, however, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that despite that, Moscow won’t stand in the Chinese leader’s way of visiting Kyiv. He said: “We know China’s balanced position, we value it highly and we believe the leader of China makes his own decisions on the expediency of certain contacts. We have no right to offer any advice here.” Read our Ukraine war blog below for the latest news…
