VLADIMIR Putin has ordered tens of thousands to flee an occupied region – prompting fears the “battle for Kherson will begin”. The Russian-installed chief of the southern occupied Ukrainian region said around 50,000-60,000 people will be evacuated over six days, TASS news reports. “In the very near future, the battle for Kherson will begin,” Kirill Stremousov, installed administrator for the region, said last night. Meanwhile, Russian strikes have destroyed a third of Ukraine’s power stations, as Putin’s forces launched over 200 attacks in a matter of just days. This week alone, Russia has launched over 200 missile strikes on the under-siege nation, destroying 30% of the country’s power, according to President Zelensky – leading to widespread power cuts.
