THE PENTAGON has claimed the leak of classified US Defence Department documents poses a “very serious” risk to national security. The top secret military documents that contained details of US and Nato plans to help Ukraine prepare, were shared on Twitter and on Telegram. Speaking to reporters Chris Meagher, the assistant to the secretary of defence for public affairs said the leak was “a very serious risk to national security and have the potential to spread disinformation”. This comes as Ukrainian military spokesperson Oleksii Dmytrashkovskyi revealed the Kremlin’s forces have faced “colossal losses”; with the total number of Russians killed sitting at 179,320.
