Ukraine news latest: Russian and Wagner forces have ‘likely’ captured the town of Soledar where there’s ‘almost no life’

RUSSIA is “likely” to control most of the small town of Soledar in Ukraine’s east, according to the British Ministry of Defence. In their latest intelligence report, the Ministry of Defence said Putin’s forces ”have made tactical advances into the small Donbas town of Soledar” over the last four days. Soledar is located close to Bakhmut, where Ukraine is also locked in a bloody battle. President Zelensky said there was “almost no life” in Soledar, and “no whole walls left”. The UK said part of the fighting had focused on entrances to the 200km-long disused tunnels and that both sides “are likely concerned that they could be used for infiltration behind their lines”.
