VLADIMIR Putin has vowed to “systematically” press on with Moscow’s offensive in Ukraine, as he gave his state of the nation address. The Russian president began his state of the nation address today ahead of the first anniversary of Moscow’s war in Ukraine – and promised the Kremlin would not cave in. “Step by step, we will carefully and systematically solve the aims that face us,” Putin said ahead of the first anniversary of the military intervention. He continued: “The elites of the West do not hide their purpose… That is, they intend to transform a local conflict into a phase of global confrontation. But they also cannot fail to realize that it is impossible to defeat Russia on the battlefield. Therefore, they are conducting more and more aggressive information attacks against us.
