Ukraine news latest — Putin slammed for ‘crimes against humanity’ as Russia claim ‘hybrid war’ has been unleashed

VLADIMIR Putin’s forces have been slammed by the US government as they “formally determined” that Russian forces had committed “crimes against humanity”. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, US Vice-President Kamala Harris accused Russian forces of carrying out “gruesome acts of murder, torture, rape and deportation”. In retaliation, Russia’s ambassador to the US said the claims were an attempt to “demonise” Russia. Anatoly Antonov was quoted saying by Russia’s TASS state news agency: “We regard such insinuations as an unprecedented attempt to demonise Russia in the framework of the hybrid war unleashed against us.” He added it was a way of “justifying Washington’s own actions to fuel the Ukrainian crisis”.
