VLADIMIR Putin has been hit with fresh humiliation after Wagner leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin claimed it could take two years for Russia to achieve objectives. The head of the Wagner mercenary group said it could take two years for Russia to fully control the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Ukraine in a fresh blow to Putin’s regime.. In a video with the Russian military blogger Semyon Pegov, reported by Reuters, Prigozhin said: “As far as I understand, we need to close off the Donetsk and Luhansk republics and in principle that will suit everyone for now.” He added that could take one and a half to two years. It comes as the UK’s Ministry of Defence claimed in their most recent intelligence update that Russia has likely suffered “its highest rate of casualties since the first week of the invasion”.
