VLADIMIR Putin’s attempts to destroy Ukraine’s energy system have “highly likely failed” according to the UK’s Ministry of Defence. In the Ministry’s latest intelligence update, it has been claimed Russia’s large-scale long-range attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have become rare, resulting in a failed attempt to destroy Ukraine’s unified energy system (UES). The Ministry added: “Smaller scale strikes (with fewer than 25 munitions) continue, but are highly likely having much less impact on the UES. “Ukraine’s network operating companies continue to source replacement transformers and other critical components. Transporting and installing these components is a major logistical challenge, especially high voltage transformers which weigh at least 100 tonnes.” It comes as a Kremlin spokesperson said Vladimir Putin has planned to create a “new world order” with his brutal war in Ukraine.
