Ukraine news latest – Putin ordering ‘constant’ strikes on civilians as Germany SLAMS West over fears of an ‘arms race’

VLADIMIR PUTIN is raining a ‘constant’ barrage of missile attacks on civilians after the West sent military aid to Ukraine. Vladimir Putin has stepped up attacks in the eastern Donetsk region – resulting in Ukrainian forces needing new weapons to confront a “very tough” barrage of “constant” attacks. But German chancellor Olaf Scholz warned against a race to arm the nation a day after ruling out sending fighter jets to the Ukraine war. Scholz vowed he would stand “against entering into a constant competition to outbid each other when it comes to weapons systems”. It comes after Scholz last week folded to international pressure and sent a squadron of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, and allow Nato allies to re-export dozens more.
