VLADIMIR Putin is giving an update on his so-called “special military operation” in Ukraine later today. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told state television: “At such a crucial and very complicated juncture in our development, our lives, everyone is waiting for a message in the hope of hearing an assessment of what is happening, an assessment of the special military operation.“ It comes as the UK’s Ministry of Defence has released their latest update on civilian casualties, caused by Putin’s “lack of discrimination”. The Ministry said: “The United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) had recorded 18,955 civilian casualties since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.” They added: “Throughout January 2023, there was a very high intensity, and worsening trend, of damage being inflicted on both medical and educational facilities…largely due to Russia’s lack of discrimination.” Read our Ukraine war blog below for the latest news…
