MIGHTY British Challenger 2 tanks have arrived in Ukraine ready to take on Putin’s Russian forces in combat missions. Ukrainian troops have spent weeks in the UK learning how to operate the the heavy machinery, which could turn the tide in the war. Speaking yesterday, Ukraine’s defence minister Oleksii Reznikov said: “Today, I had the honour to try out the newest addition to our armed units, particularly Challengers from the UK.” It comes as nuclear fears are escalating in Ukraine after Russia was accused of holding the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant “hostage” by Volodymyr Zelensky.
