CHINA’S Xi Jinping has been urged to “bring Russia to its senses” by French President Emmanuel Macron as nuclear tensions rise. This call for peace comes following a string of nuclear threats by the Kremlin since Russia’s brutal dictator, Vladimir Putin, launched his bloodthirsty invasion of Ukraine last year. President Macron called on China to bring Russia to the negotiating table and honour its commitments to the UN. Speaking during a visit to Beijing, Macron told his Chinese counterpart: “I know I can count on you, under the two principles I just mentioned, to bring Russia to its senses and bring everyone back to the negotiating table”. This comes as reports claim Russia will move tactical nuclear missiles to the western border of Belarus, which connects to three Nato countries, raising tensions with the West.
