Ukraine news latest — Kyiv to ‘take advantage of Russia’s losses very soon’ as Putin’s troops ‘running out of steam’

UKRAINE has hinted at a possible counter offensive after it was claimed that Kyiv’s forces will “take advantage of Russia’s losses very soon”. Ukrainian Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi said Russian forces “are losing considerable strength and are running out of steam” in the battle for Bakhmut.  He added: “Very soon, we will take advantage of this opportunity, as we did in the past near Kyiv, Kharkiv, Balakliya and Kupiansk”. It comes as former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has warned of a “nuclear apocalypse” due to the constant arms supply to Ukraine. In a video shared to his Telegram, Mr Medvedev said: “Has the threat of a nuclear conflict passed? No, it has not passed. It has increased.
