Ukraine news latest: Kremlin to annex four Russian-controlled areas tomorrow after Vladimir Putin’s illegal referendums

VLADIMIR Putin has taken drastic measures to prevent Russians from fleeing following the military mobilisation, as military-age men joibed a queue of over 3,000 vehicles at the region’s Verkhny Lars crossing point into Georgia. Russia’s North Ossetia republic imposed restrictions on cars arriving from other parts of the country on Wednesday as Governor Sergei Menyailo said 20,000 people crossed the border in two days. He said on Telegram: “We will not be physically able to ensure order and security if this flow continues to grow.” It comes as European countries will ramp up security around pipelines after the suspected sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2.
