Ukraine news latest — Explosions rock Kyiv & residents warned ‘stay in shelters’ as ‘Iranian-made drones’ shot down

UKRAINE’S capital city has been hit with multiple drone strikes this morning according to the regions officials. The governor of the Kyiv region, Oleksiy Kuleba, said air defence systems were at work following reports of at least three explosions. Vitali Klitschko, Kyiv’s Mayor, explained that air-defence systems successfully shot down “Shahed drones” in the early hours of the morning.  Writing on the Telegram messaging app he said: “In the Kyiv region and over the capital, air defence forces shot down a total of 10 Shahed drones.” It comes as Vitaliy Bunechko, the governor of a nearby region warned residents of a second wave of Russian attacks, informing civilians to “stay in shelters”.
