MADMAN Vladimir Putin yesterday declared martial law in the four regions of Ukraine that Russia proclaimed as under Moscow’s rule. The regions under martial law are Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia – giving Kremlin tighter control in the occupied areas ravaged by the Ukraine war. Meanwhile, Putin ordered tens of thousands to flee an occupied region – prompting fears the “battle for Kherson will begin”. The Kremlin-installed chief of the southern occupied Ukrainian region said around 50,000-60,000 people will be evacuated over six days, according to reports from the state state-run TASS news agency. “In the very near future, the battle for Kherson will begin,” Kirill Stremousov, installed administrator for the region, said Tuesday night.
