Uganda's Ebola Outbreak to be Declared Over Within Days, Says African Health Authority

Uganda has been under the scourge of an Ebola outbreak since September. The disease is caused by the Sudan ebolavirus, for which there is no vaccine and this time there have been at least 142 cases and 55 deaths. In early December, Uganda discharged its last known Ebola patient from hospital and no more cases have been registered thus far.
