Russian authorities have not confirmed the nature of the object – but Baza reports fighter planes have been deployed. Flights are now facing 12 hour delays from Pulkovo Airport. And the chaos comes as Russia continues its disastrous war in Ukraine, with Putin fearing more attacks on Russian soil as Kyiv pushes back.
