Two German police officers shot dead ‘by poachers’ during traffic stop as cops issue warning not to pick up hitchhikers

TWO police officers have been killed in western Germany after they were shot dead during a routine traffic stop. The officers – a 24-year-old woman, and a 29-year-old man – radioed for help following the shooting. The killers reportedly fled the scene following the shooting in Kusel, Rhineland-Palatinate. Police have urged the public not to pick up any hitchhikers in the area in the wake of the double shooting.
