Swedish Parties Split Over NATO’s Nuclear Arms on Country’s Soil

In submitting its NATO application earlier this year, the Swedish government made a specific promise to keep NATO’s nuclear weapons and permanent bases outside of the country’s borders. The Moderate Party, then in opposition, supported it, but appears to have reversed its course since entering government.
