Sri Lanka's Rajapaksa Confident of Winning Elections Despite Being Blamed for Economic Woes

Gotabaya Rajapaksa became president after securing a thumping majority in the 2019 elections, which paved the way for members of his family to occupy key Cabinet seats. However, the government did not last long, as thousands of protesters stormed the President's House in July of this year, blaming the family for the economic woes of the country.
