South Africa to Make Power Cuts 'Thing of the Past' Within a Year, Finance Minister Says

South Africa is now experiencing a severe energy crisis. The state-run energy company Eskom is implementing nationwide power cuts, which are considered to be the deepest on record, leaving most of the country's citizens with no electricity for around six to eight hours per day.
