South Africa to Advance African Agenda in BRICS, Ramaphosa Says

South Africa officially assumed the BRICS presidency for 2023 on January 1, taking over from China. The main theme of the county's presidency is “BRICS and Africa: Partnership for Mutually Accelerated Growth, Sustainable Development and Inclusive Multilateralism.” The summit under this theme is scheduled to be held in August.
