Scientists Uncover Evidence Showing Gladiator Brawls Were Held in Roman Britain

The so-called Colchester Vase was discovered in a Roman tomb at West Lodge in 1853 in the British city of Colchester. The pottery is decorated with elaborate depictions of gladiatorial battles and its final use was as a funerary urn.
