Russia Hopes Syrian-Turkish Relations Can Be Mended in Wake of Devastating Quakes

Over 50,000 people were killed and millions more displaced after series of earthquakes rocked southern Turkiye and northern Syria on February 6. The devastation sparked an unprecedented outpouring of support for Damascus from its Arab neighbors, and given rise to hopes that the Arab Republic could normalize ties with Ankara as well.
