PARANOID Vladamir Putin has fired more of his military top brass and a police colonel as his botched invasion continues to falter. As the war in Ukraine reached its blood-soaked 100 day milestone on Friday, the warmonger has carried out a pitiless purge of his generals. APParanoid Putin seems to be taking out his frustrations on his military chiefs[/caption] AFPThe invasion of Ukraine – which reached its 100 day milestone – has been a spectacular failure for Russia[/caption] The tyrant issued a decree on Monday that gave five generals at the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs the boot, reports say. The military chiefs were dismissed from their posts in what one unnamed official described as a personnel rotation. Major Generals Alexander Laas, Andrey Lipilin, Alexander Udovenko and Yuri Instrankin, as well as Major General of Police Vasily Kukushkin, are said to be those who were sacked. Insecure Putin worries his once fiercely devoted advisors have lost faith in him thanks to his shambolic and self-serving attack on Ukraine. Reports suggest more than a 100 members of Putin’s “private army” were previously also fired for refusing to fight Ukraine. It comes after Russian media were extraordinarily banned from mentioning the invasion reaching its landmark date. The Kremlin fear that discussing the conflict’s 100-day climax would remind people how Putin’s “special operation” has been spectacularly “dragged out.” Most read in The Sun HEIR'S BACK Grinning Harry holds hands with Meg in Royal return… but don't see Kate & Wills WART DO YOU THINK? EastEnders legend Rita Simons looks VERY different with red hair after 'makeover' A source in Russia’s Presidential Administration told news outlet Meduza: “Focusing on dates related to the war can make Russians think about the goals and success of the invasion.” And the brainwashed country would be quite taken aback by Russia’s military failures and devastating losses. Although Putin has disturbing insisted it will press on with its military operations in Ukraine until its goals are met, his soldier’s progress has stagnated. When troops first invaded Ukraine on February 24, it was feared Russia would sweep through Ukraine in a matter of days. But in the weeks and months since the conflict began, more than twice as many Russian soldiers have died than in the 10 years of the Soviet-Afghan War. Russian paratroopers tried twice to storm President Zelensky’s compound and assassinate him, although Ukraine’s head of state shared a defiant video showing he was still in the capital. Putin’s forces looked to seize control of Mariupol early on, establishing a land corridor between occupied Donetsk and the annexed territory of Crimea, but quickly became bogged down. By the end of March, Russia had drastically altered its military strategy, moving its troops away from Kyiv and concentrating on the east of the country. Much of the past month has seen fighting take place over incredibly small areas of land, with Russian troops withdrawing from Ukraine’s second city of Kharkiv, but finally taking the besieged Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol, where several hundred brave troops had put up a heroic final defence. Russia’s botched operations have become a huge source of embarrassment for Putin. Britain’s defence ministry said Moscow have failed to achieve its initial objectives to seize Kyiv and Ukrainian centres of government – but was achieving tactical success in the Donbas.
