A BRITISH man killed in Ukraine has been described as “a hero” by his family. Jonathan Shenkin, from Glasgow, is the eighth person from the UK known to have died in the war-torn country since Russia invaded. Jonathan Shenkin, from Glasgow, was killed in Ukraine In a post, the 45-year-old’s family said he “made the ultimate sacrifice” by standing up to Vladimir Putin’s troops in Ukraine They said he “died as a hero in an act of bravery as a paramedic” in December.
