Number of States Seeking to Join BRICS, SCO Surged to 20, Lavrov Says

Since the beginning of 2022, several countries from across the world have been reported to voice their intentions to become members of the BRICS bloc, as well as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The member states of these intergovernmental organizations welcome their aspirations.
