AT LEAST one person has been killed and around 30 injured after a passenger train derailed and burst into flames. Passengers were left screaming in terror as the train left the tracks in the early hours of the morning near the village of Voorschhoten in the Netherlands. At least one person was killed in the horror crash in the early hours of Tuesday The train, carrying around 50 people en route to The Hague from Leiden, slammed into construction equipment at around 3.25am local time this morning. Chilling images from the scene show plumes of black smoke billowing from the wreckage after it burst into flames. Two of the double-decker train’s four carriages were derailed in the collision. NOS reported that a spokesperson for the Hollands Midden security region saying there were “many victims”.
