A MAN was left mortified when he discovered his dog had accidentally ordered £70 worth of pay-per-view porn videos. Thomas Barnes, 58, blamed his angelic-looking Bichon Frise, Marino, for the X-rated order after the pet got hold of the TV remote. Marino is said to have unintentionally purchased access to the Hustler channel, a semi-hardcore pornographic premium TV station in the US. Realising his dog’s erotic error, Thomas quickly contacted his satellite provider DirecTV “within minutes” to rectify the randy transaction. He explained Marino was in fact to blame for the pricey purchase and says the company assured him the cash would be refunded. But the dog owner then realised he still had access to the saucy channel. When his bill arrived, Thomas noticed the satellite provider had slapped a £70 charge on for the pay-per-view porn service. In a bid to swerve the charge for his canine’s blunder, the 58-year-old deducted the cost of the Hustler channel and paid the rest. However, he was left furious to discover DirecTV had completely cut off his TV services in response. Lauren Goodger sips wine outside restaurant on dinner trip with daughter Thomas told the News and Observer: “That $70, you’re taking food out of my mouth. It’s like you’re stealing it. “They refused to see how that was pertinent.” The North Carolina native, who relies on Social Security disability payments, feared the unexpected cost would leave him struggling financially. Like a dog with a bone, Thomas refused to let the satellite provider triumph. He added: “There’s a problem when there’s a mistake, and you expect me to pay for the mistake.” The 58-year-old decided to contact the Federal Communications Commission to complain about the charge. After the government agency intervened, DirecTv eventually agreed to credit Thomas’ account for his dog’s discrepancy.
