Macron Anxious to Resolve EU-US Spat Over Biden's Inflation Reduction Act 'in Early 2023'

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) stipulates tax reductions and energy benefits for companies which invest on US soil. The legislation, which also encourages consumers to “Buy American,” has been denounced by EU leaders such as German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron as “representing market-distorting measures.”
