India to Retain 20 Percent Stake in Russia’s Sakhalin-1 Oil & Gas Project: Reports

On October 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued an instruction to establish a new operator to the energy project Sakhalin-1 to replace ExxonMobil's subsidiary, Exxon Neftegas Limited, which had a 30 percent stake in the project. New Delhi has vowed to take advantage of the opportunity.
