A DINER at a restaurant was left fuming after spotting a £28 hidden charge sneakily added to their bill. The customer had been out for dinner with five friends at a restaurant in Sydney, Australia, racking up a total bill of $480. A diner was left fuming after spotting a £28 hidden charge on their bill But despite the already expensive cuisine they were shocked to see that it wasn’t the final amount when preparing to pay. A hefty service charge worth $48 (£28) was added in a tiny font towards the foot of the receipt from the eatery. The annoyed diner claimed there was no reference to a surcharge on the menu which they had double-checked. And the restaurant’s website does state that only groups of seven or more will be charged an additional 10 per cent, reports Yahoo News.
