Cops have identified the body of the woman, who was found dismembered in Buttes-Chaumont park, Paris, on Tuesday morning. The decapitated head was then found with the help of park staff. However, Police have now confirmed they have identified the victim. The investigation was lead by the Paris prosecutor’s office and the criminal brigade of the Parisian judicial police. French newspaper Le Monde reported police were able to identify the woman through fragments of her body. The Paris prosecutor’s office said: “The body parts found in the Buttes-Chaumont park were identified thanks to her fingerprints as being those of a 46-year-old woman who was declared missing by her husband on February 6. “The couple lived in Seine-Saint-Denis. “An investigation into her disappearance had been opened.” The identification update comes after a painstaking investigation that was launched after the chilling discovery was made on Monday, February 13.
