HORROR details have emerged in the case of a missing teenager after her mum allegedly received a chilling call from a stranger claiming to have killed her daughter. Hayley Dodd, 17, vanished while hitchhiking from Dongara near Perth to Moora, on her way to visit a friend. Years after Hayley went missing her distraught mum Margaret, is said to have received a disturbing call from a man claiming to be her daughter’s killer and threatening her she would be next. The distressing call was made last month, according to the West Australian. The man, who is facing mental health issues, has been charged with making a threat to unlawfully do an act and will face court in Perth later this month. Hayley was last seen walking along a road near the town of Badgingarra in the Wheatbelt region. Her disappearance sparked a frantic search with 130 people being identified as persons of interest. Among them was Francis John Wark, who had lived on North West Road near where Hayley was last seen. He has always denied having anything to do with her disappearance. Years after Hayley’s disappearance, in 2013, investigators found Hayley’s earing in the vehicle Wark was driving when she vanished. He was eventually convicted of the teen’s murder in 2017 but he was acquitted in 2020. He was however found guilty of manslaughter and was sentenced to 18 years behind bars. He will be eligible for parole after 16 years. He is now appealing the manslaughter conviction.
