AT LEAST 15 tourists have tragically died on the way home from a beach holiday in Mexico after a horror bus crash. Four children are among the dead and another 47 are being treated for injuries after the vehicle flipped and rolled down a ravine. They were travelling home along a rural road on Friday when the driver lost control, according to Riviera Maya News. The coach spun through the air and was horrifically catapulted into a small ravine in the state of Nayarit. The roof of the bus was torn off as it tumbled into the ditch, leaving the tourists luggage strewn across the scene. Mexicans often pool their resources to rent transport with friends and family to head on a mini-break. All those on board were from the city of Leon in the state of Guanajuato, police said. Of the surviving passengers, 45 remain in hospital receiving treatment. Investigators are now working to establish the cause of the crash. Tragedies with similar circumstances have typically occurred due to bad weather, poorly maintained vehicles, substandard highways or speeding.
