DOZENS of children are feared dead after a huge explosion at a primary school in Nigeria. Bystanders shared horrifying videos of the aftermath of the incident, showing charred bodies littered in the street. The clips show chaotic scenes as parents desperately searched for their children amongst the crowds. Terrified youngsters were seen sobbing as they wade through the swarms of people and stepped over dead bodies as they seek safety. Men and women tightly clutched their kids, most of them covered in dust, amid the panic. Sabon Gari Market President Nafi’u Nuhu Indabo confirmed the incident to the BBC, saying it affected many people, including schoolchildren. The cause of the explosion is not yet clear. Police, anti-bomb units and several security teams have responded to the incident. Locals have been advised to avoid the area due to the risk of a secondary explosion.
