HUMAN remains discovered deep in the Amazon rainforest belong to a missing British journalist, police in Brazil have confirmed. Police searching for Dom Phillips and an expert from a local tribe, Pereira, found the remains on Wednesday evening. Local broadcaster CNN Brasil quoted federal police sources who claim a dental arch exam confirmed the remains belonged to Mr Phillips. A second body, thought to be that of indigenous expert Bruno Pereira, is still being assessed. Five suspects are now being questioned by police after two brothers confessed to the murders earlier this week. Three are suspected of killing the pair, while the remaining two may have ordered the hit and concealed evidence. Dom Phillips’ wife, Alessandra Sampaio, said the sad discovery “puts an end to the anguish of not knowing” what happened to her husband.
