A DESPERATE hunt is on for a man-eating leopard which has so far killed three children in India. Footage obtained by The Sun Online appears to show the beast prowling near a roadside as the hunt continues for the leopard. The animal is seen in the distance on a hillside prowling through the undergrowth near the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad National Highway. The local administration advised the general public not to let their children go to the nearby forest alone. And also the school children were asked to turn to school only after 9 in the morning to avoid such incidents in the public. Meanwhile, the wildlife officials have launched a massive hunt either to trap or eliminate the predator. Multiple traps have been set up in different areas in Boniyar. The wildlife department has sought the support of the local police and the Forest Protection Force (FPF) . Rashid Naqash, regional wildlife warden, told local media the animal is “unpredictable” – warning the leopard could strike “anywhere at any time”.
