‘Death Sentence’: Critics Slam Indiana’s Near-Total Abortion Ban as Judge Allows Law to Take Effect

Indiana’s abortion ban, the first passed in the wake of the US Supreme Court’s June decision that overturned federal abortion rights, took effect on Thursday after a county judge declined a request to block it. In all, some 26 US states now ban or nearly totally ban abortion.
