Deadly Volcano May Awaken, Colombian Authorities Begin Evacuation - Reports

Nevado del Ruiz volcano is the highest active volcano in the Andes. It is located in Los Nevados National Park among several other volcanoes. Now it is believed that up to 500 thousand residents of the surrounding areas live under the threat of mudflows, which can descend from the slopes of this volcano.
