CHINA has detected an unidentified flying object entering its airspace and it prepares to shoot it down, state media reported. The mysterious object was apparently spotted near the coastal city of Rizhao in the eastern Shandong Province on Sunday, according to Chinese media. Beijing is prepared to shoot down the object (file image) Maritime authorities said they were preparing to shoot it down before reminding fishermen to be safe via messages. It comes just two days after a US fighter jet shot down an unidentified object flying 40,000ft over Alaska.
