Cameroonian Bishop: France Has Affairs of Former African Colonies 'in Iron Grip'

During his February trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan, Pope Francis criticized "economic colonialism" in Africa. He said political exploitation by western countries paved the way to economic colonialism, enslaving African nations calling the fact that African lands are subject to exploitation "a tragedy".
