British ex-military heroes cross into Ukraine to fight Putin’s forces, saying: ‘Evil triumphs when good men do nothing’

Two of them, in their 40s, spoke to The Sun at the border on condition of anonymity. One, a married dad of two under-tens, said: “I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. “We have expertise we can offer. As the saying goes, the only thing evil needs to triumph is for good men to do nothing. The other said: “For me, this is closer to home than most. “My wife is Polish. Her family live two and a half hours from the border. British-Ukrainian Anton Vybornyi, 36, from London, was at the border with a van-load of military equipment, including Army-issue bullet proof vests. He said: “Ukraine doesn’t need teddy bears and blankets — they need helmets and body armour. I’ve done three runs so far. I’m funding it myself.
