A BRITISH tourist was allegedly raped by a ‘wealthy American holidaymaker’ in a hotel toilet in Mykonos. The 22-year-old woman reported to police that the man, who she had met last Saturday in one of the Greek island’s bars, followed her to the toilet and raped her. The woman believed to be from Preston, Lancashire, told police she met the American tourist, from a wealthy New York family, in one of the party island’s bars, Proto Thema reports She said the two of them alongside their group of friends went back to the hotel they were staying. But she claims when they entered the room the 30-year-old followed her to the toilet. The suspect was arrested but has denied all the allegations. The young English tourist has undergone a forensic examination and a case file was filed against her alleged rapist that will be presented before Prosecutor’s Office in Syros.
