Brit, 43, ‘shot dead in Costa Rica by girlfriend who confessed to shooting him during row to frighten him’

A BRITISH man has reportedly been shot dead in Costa Rica by his girlfriend who opened fire on him during a row to scare him. The 43-year-old victim has been named locally as Christopher Benjamin Martin. The incident is understood to have happened on Sunday at his apartment in Pueblo Nuevo Cops are said to have arrested his 36-year-old Nicaraguan girlfriend after she admitted shooting Christopher during a row “to frighten him”. The incident is understood to have happened on Sunday afternoon at his apartment in Pueblo Nuevo in the province of Alajuela. The couple are said to have got into a fight after a drinking session, ending with the girlfriend firing a gun at him.
